Franciacorta, from the first glass to the last award

Some partnerships appear once. Franciacorta ran through the whole of Lugano Elegance 2026.

As official sparkling wine, Franciacorta was poured across eight hospitality moments, from the breakfasts to the Gala Dinner. That is not a placement; that is the texture of the weekend. Every toast, arrival and closing night carried it.

It also arrived early. On 20 May, before the concours weekend began, the Franciacorta Festival brought forty-one producers to the Hotel Splendide Royal, giving guests and the city a full tasting of the region before a single car reached Piazza Riforma.

And it ended with a name on an award. The Franciacorta Award was presented on stage on concours day, with a second given at the Gala Dinner. The 2026 award went to the 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 “Beachcar”, the doorless one-off built for the 1976 Geneva Motor Show, and a fair choice for a prize attached to pleasure.
