Seven students, three days

Seven students from Franklin University took part in Lugano Elegance 2026 during their summer session, working across the three days of the event.

They were not observers. They helped organise, and they greeted participants as they arrived, which is the first impression a collector forms of a concours and one of the harder jobs to do well. Someone has to know who is arriving, what they need, and how to make a person who has just driven a rare car across a border feel expected.

Franklin sits in Lugano, and the collaboration follows the same logic as the apprentices from the Centro Professionale Tecnico in Biasca and the Junior Judges: an event that takes place in a city should draw on the people studying in it.
